The main difference between laminate and vinyl flooring is the materials they are made of. Vinyl is 100% synthetic, while laminate uses fiberboard core constructed of wood by products. Thus, laminate flooring is not waterproof, while vinyl flooring is 100% waterproof.

I personally like this because when installing the flooring in which the boards run parallel to the longest wall in the room, instantly makes a room appear more spacious.
